Alexis swiped right on Marc and her pickup line was “Are you French?” (because Marc is spelled with a C), to which he replied “I can be”. The morning after their first date Alexis went into the office and told her coworkers she had found her husband. The rest is history!

Four months later they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend (Alexis made it known that Marc had to ask). They said “I love you” for the first time at a Gypsy King’s concert. That is where they got their dog’s name Kingston (King)!

During covid they spent 280 days straight together and never got sick of each other. They moved in at the beginning of covid and have been roommates ever since.

After a year and a half of dating they bought an apartment together in Chelsea and found their little slice of heaven in Manhattan. They love taking walks with Kingston on the westside highway and strolling into Meatpacking to grab coffee on Sunday mornings.

Marc planned a two week surprise “birthday” trip for Alexis which turned into the engagement trip of a lifetime. They first spent a few nights in Milan (where Alexis studied abroad), then made their way to Lake Garda. Marc told Alexis they were going to dinner and had to travel via water taxi. On the way, the driver said he was friends with the owners of Isola del Garda, a private castle on an island in the middle of the lake. While passing, he mentioned he could arrange a tour before dinner. When they stepped onto the island, there was champagne, flowers, and light bites waiting on the terrace. Alexis immediately burst into happy tears and after getting down on one knee and a big “yes”, they roamed around the island before heading back into town for dinner and Facetimes!

They can’t wait to celebrate their special day in Paris with you all!
